May has ended and June is finally here. For Animal Crossing: New Horizons players, this means that wedding season has begun for the entire month of June. Many wedding-themed rewards are obtainable through this love-filled event.
In order to participate in this event, Animal Crossing: New Horizons players need to have Harv's Island unlocked so they can use Photopia. This is where the majority of Wedding Season will take place.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons - How to Start Wedding Season Event
Players will know that the Wedding Season event has started when Isabelle mentions it during the island's announcements for the day. After that, players will get a call from Harv asking players to come to his island to help out with something.
Upon arriving via the airport, players will be greeted with the task to decorate and take photos for Reese and Cyrus's anniversary in Photopia. Doing so will reward players with a special event material known as Heart Crystals. Players can participate in a photo shoot with the couple once per day every day for all of June. At minimum, players can earn 5 Heart Crystals for their work and initially 11 at maximum. This maximum can be raised to 15 Heart Crystals after obtaining all the wedding items.
How to get Heart Crystals in Animal Crossing: New Horizons Fast
By talking to Cyrus in the studio, players can buy the wedding themed furniture with there being 26 different pieces. However, his stock will initially be limited to 5 pieces with more being available after more photo shoots.
In order to get the most out of a day's photo shoot, players need to listen to Reese's themes. Initially, these themes will be either Ceremony or Reception, but there doesn't seem to be any judging difference between the two. However, using wedding items is what factors a lot in players' internal scores. Starting on the 7th shoot, however, there will be more themes that require players to use furniture customization. Here are the themes and their colors:
- Cute Set (Pink and White)
- Chic Set (Brown, Beige, and Black)
- Garden Set (Green, Yellow, Brown)
There are two other strategies for getting the most amount of Heart Crystals per day. One is to place one wedding item repeatedly as many times as possible in the room. This is great for when players don't have much access to wedding items. The other is to place one of each item with one extra duplicate. Be sure to follow Reese's themes while doing this.
Wedding Season will be lasting all through the month of June for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and players and won't come back again until next June.
