A bit of goodwill returned to Fallout 76 recently as the Wastelanders update has proven to be a welcomed addition to the game from fans. Unfortunately, the game itself remains an inconsisten experience as players seem to regularly wrestle with bugs and other glitches. Following the release of Wastelanders, a nasty bug emerged that would cause NPC characters to loot player's corpses, something that infuriated players with quality gear. The ups and downs of Fallout 76 continued this week as the fan favorite event Fasnacht Parade also ran into a major snag.

Going live in Fallout 76 earlier this week, the fan favorite Fasnacht Parade was unfortunately quickly taken offline nearly as fast as it appeared. The derailed event fell victim to a newly discovered bug prevented players from completing one of the main objectives of harvesting animal intestines in a certain amount of time near the butcher's house. While this has traditionally been an easier part of the quest, since the Wastelanders update, the animal spawn rates have essentially dropped to zero.

Bethesda has moved quickly on this issue however and provided the fan base with a response as to what's going on with the Fasnacht Parade. Thankfully, the studio has identified the issue that prevented animals from spawning correctly, applied a fix, and are currently testing it. When Bethesda is satisfied with how the event is working, it'll be reenabled on live servers for players to once again take part in. Bethesda has also extended the duration of Fasnacht until Tuesday, June 9, giving fans two weeks to take part in it and earn the special rewards. Additionally, starting next week, free bundles will also be appearing in the Atom Shop for players to claim, though details on what they are will be coming at a later date.

For all the issues and problems that Fallout 76 has experienced since it originally launched, the Fasnacht Parade has always been a hit with fans due to the event bringing fans together. Based on the Swiss Carnival of Basel, players were required to protect robots wearing fun masks as they traveled down a main road in the fictional town of Helvetia. Part of the appeal is that at the end of the event, players would get loot and a chance to earn one of the rare masks.

While the game continues to struggle with a number of active issues such as a Display Case and Vending Machine issue, Bethesda did give fans a bit of good news. Confusion errupted in the community following the announcement of a seasonal release structure, with many assuming they'd have to pay to opt in. However, this isn't the case as Bethesda clarified its announcement that all players will have access to each new season as soon as it becomes available free of charge. For those with the Fallout 1st premium membership, bonus rewards will be given.

Fallout 76 is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
