It's hard to believe that the widely anticipated remake of Resident Evil 3 has been out for nearly two months. In that time, the gaming community has poured a lot of attention and love into Resident Evil 3 in the form of cosplay, fan art, and game mods. Though, this new mod allows the user to play as Jill Valentine dressed up as one of the most beloved PlayStation characters of all time.

Since its release back in early April of 2020, Resident Evil 3 has seen a multitude of user-developed mods for the game. These mods vary in terms of their application. Most of them are texture mods that allow the player to change the aesthetic appearance of the in-game character models. For example, a member of the modding community recently found a way to replace Nemesis with Shrek.

This texture mod, in particular, is especially awesome. Thanks to the hard work of Marcos RC on Twitter, fans of the God of War series can now have Jill Valentine cosplaying as Kratos. While her head isn't shaved and she does not have any facial hair, the pale white skin and the red tattoos are spot on.

The design of the texture mod perfectly blends between the old and new version of Kratos. Jill seems to be wearing the fur pauldron that is featured in the 2018 game, as well as the bandages on Kratos' arms. However, Jill also appears to be wearing the battle skirt that Kratos wore during the earlier games. The images do not reveal anything from the waist down, so it's unclear what kind of footwear Jill is wearing.

It's amazing how much influence certain games can carry into other games. God of War (2018) left an extremely impactful mark on the entire gaming community. The fact that its presence can be found in Resident Evil 3, a game that is essentially the polar opposite of God of War, is quite impressive. Similarly, this can apply to Animal Crossing as well, considering the recent texture mod that allows players to play as Isabelle.

The remake of Resident Evil 3 is the most recent addition to the Resident Evil franchise. Upon its initial release, the game has received widespread critical and commercial success. Its overall design is extremely reminiscent of last year's successful remake of Resident Evil 2. Considering the success of these games and the survey Capcom released asking players what they liked and disliked about Resident Evil 3, the momentum the company has built shows no signs of slowing down.

Resident Evil 3 is available now for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
