Valorant currently has ten different characters to choose from, each of them fitting into one of the four character types present in the game right now: Controller, Initiator, Duelist, and Sentinel. Different characters accomplish these roles in different ways, making each of them pretty unique from the next.

Breach, one of the Initiators in Valorant, has a very specific set of abilities that give him a severe advantage in certain scenarios. Let's take a look at Breach, and some tips for getting the most out of playing as him.

10 Can Move Enemies With Ease

Breach's specialty is moving enemies from comfortable positions with supreme ease. He can do this with literally any single ability in his arsenal; some are just going to be better in certain situations than others. But, with Breach, you can adopt a pretty consistent playstyle, while still having the versatility to play just about anywhere on the map.

9 Force Enemies Out Of Cover With Aftershock

One of the ways in which Breach can move an enemy out of cover is with his Aftershock ability. This ability must be fired at a wall, and explodes on the opposite side from which you shot it, dealing pretty significant damage on that side.

While this isn't going to one-shot an enemy that's at full health, it's a good way to get the advantage in a coming gunfight, and most enemies are going to opt to move away rather than take the damage, anyways.

8 Force Enemies Out Of Cover With Flashpoint

Very similar to the last ability, Breach has another ability called Flashpoint. This, again, is fired at a wall, but instead of dealing damage on the other side, it creates a blinding effect for anyone on the other side. This effect activates much quicker than the Aftershock ability does, so be ready to push more or less immediately after firing Flashpoint.

7 Daze All Enemies In Hallway With Fault Line

Another ability that Breach has is called Fault Line. This is an ability that you can charge up to make more powerful, and when released, it creates a dazing effect in a pretty sizeable line in front of you. This effect can penetrate through walls, but it doesn't have to, unlike the previous two abilities.

6 Rolling Thunder Can Decimate A Huge Area

Rolling Thunder is Breach's Ultimate ability, and while it functions very similarly to Fault Line, it actually deals a pretty sizeable amount of damage, and does so in a much wider radius, as well. This can utterly rip through an enemy team that's too bunched together, or be a pretty easy and effective way to push an enemy team off of an objective.

5 Create Surgical Pushes With Team

With some skill and a little luck, Breach can pretty easily move enemies right where he wants them. But, on his own, it's still going to come down to a 1v1 gunfight. But if Breach is coordinating with his team, he can push enemies into a crossfire that they have little to no hope of escaping from. As with most things in this game and those like it, everything is more effective on a well-coordinated team.

4 Specializes In Creating Effects Through Walls

Since Breach specializes in creating these effects through walls, it means he can generally do most of the things that he's expected to do in relative cover. Unless an enemy is anticipating your play and peeking you at just the wrong time, you'll generally find that you can activate your abilities in peace, and reap the rewards without much hassle.

3 Best Used In Close Combat

If Breach isn't in close enough proximity to the enemy to capitalize on his abilities, then they're going to be a waste. Most Breach's are going to be most useful in close combat, where they can use their abilities and then immediately push around the corner and take advantage of the dazed/blinded/damaged enemy.

If you stand back and activate the abilities from afar, sure, you might still hit the enemy with the ability, but they'll have recovered before you can capitalize on it.

2 Can Play Aggressive

More to that last point, Breach's can afford to be aggressive; that's what his abilities are meant to be used for. Each and every ability and Breach's arsenal is made to give him, or a teammate, and advantage in a gunfight; if no one is taking those gunfights, he's going to be a waste. Sure, it isn't going to work out every round, and sometimes you're going to die early. But, when played well, a good Breach is going to create a numbers advantage for your team early on in a lot of rounds.

1 Map Knowledge Amplifies Benefit

Another important thing to note about Breach is that it's definitely handy to have a pretty solid grasp on the map in order to get the most out of him. Firing an ability at a wall that an enemy isn't on the other end of is going to be a complete and utter waste; get a working understanding of the popular spots, and the strongest spots, on the map. The spots that the enemy is most likely to be. Once you've got a good idea of those, it'll all come down to figuring out how each individual team is going to adapt to what you're doing.
