A trailer that was leaked on Reddit shows off new operators for the next season of DLC expansion for Rainbow Six Siege.

Rainbow Six Siege is the wildly successful latest installment to the Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six series developed by Ubisoft Montreal, and is an online multiplier first-person shooter game. It was released back in 2015 and is famous for its chaotic environmental destruction in a variety of exciting game modes.

The game has been given a healthy amount of yearly content in the form of new operations for the past four years. Yesterday, Ubisoft announced in a tweet that the name for the next expansion is going to be titled "Steel Wave."

However, shortly after the Rainbow Six Siege announcement, a trailer was leaked onto Reddit from an account called Regnirps123. In the trailer below, fans can see that Ubisoft Montreal has added Ace the attacker (Norway) and Melusi, the defender (South Africa), as two new operators for the game.

The brief trailer showcases the two characters performing tasks such as tracking a target through the Sahara and going down an elevator hatch. In terms of Rainbow Six Siege's gameplay and new gadgets, there still isn't much to be seen, but the end of the trailer reveals that a full reveal will be releasing next week on Monday, May 18th at 9 am PT, 5 pm BST, and 12 pm ET.

Luckily for Ubisoft Montreal, the trailer doesn't reveal too much information to ruin the excitement for the full reveal. Strangely enough, this also isn't the first time that DLC information leaked to Reddit. Earlier this year, the names and weapons for the two new operators were also conveniently leaked for the first DLC expansion for Year 5 titled "Void Edge."

It is odd that this would happen twice in a row for the same expansion year. Either Ubisoft Montreal should do some significant restructuring, or it's a secret and deliberate attempt to gauge the fans' reactions to the new characters. No matter what, Ubisoft Montreal is doing a fantastic job keeping the game alive for the fans, and players are still eager to see what the full reveal has in store.

Rainbow Six Siege is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and plans to release for next-gen consoles.
