Some of the greatest games are known for their attention to detail, and one particular Reddit user thinks they might've spotted one for Red Dead Redemption 2.

Red Dead Redemption 2, released by Rockstar Studios in 2018is the newest installment to the series. The story takes place during a fictional recreation of the Old West during 1899 and focuses on the life of Arthur Morgan.

Many fans praise the game for its great attention to the game environment, emphasis on free world experience, and character interactions. And recently, a Reddit user by the name of "Bornstellar67" thinks they might have found a nice Easter egg that some might not have noticed before.

In the clip, it seems that after Arthur completely empties the rounds from his gun, he begins mouthing something as he is loading bullets back into it. Bornstellar67 believes that  Arthur is quietly counting the number of shots to himself as he reloads in new ones, it could add to the list of hidden secrets and minor details the game has to offer.

It's not too much of a stretch to imagine that the developers at Rockstar would put something like this into the game; it is a very natural thing for any respectable cowboy to do. However, some people are speculating that it might just be a glitch in the dialogue audio because his lips don't shape the words for numbers, which does raise some doubt about its legitimacy.

Another Reddit user suspects that he might be saying something else to "count" the bullets as he puts them in. Or he might merely be counting off time, and keeping track before or after the shells are inserted. Sadly, many are skeptical about the post, saying that it seems unlikely that it took this long for someone to notice a detail like this. Rockstar Games adds subtle details to games with alarming frequency, but until more evidence for this is shown, this will only be seen by most people as hypothetical, though it's safe to assume Arthur counts in his head either way.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
