Developer Crate Entertainment considers the possibility of a Grim Dawn 2

What’s next for Grim Dawn? How about a sequel? It’s one of the things that developer Crate Entertainment is taking into consideration according to a recent interview with game designer Kamil “Zantai” Marczewski. That said, it sounds like things are very much in the concept stage, so don’t expect news for a fairly long while:

“We’re taking some time to think about what we want to do with a sequel. We are currently developing several new titles, so the team is staying busy! Grim Dawn is obviously very dear to us, so while we are thinking about Grim Dawn 2, development has not started.”

As for the immediate future of the ARPG, Marczewski affirms that it will continue to receive new updates and releases. Readers will recall that the most recent update was pretty substantial, with Monster Totems dotted around the map and a beefy list of item updates. You can also see where Grim Dawn fell in a side-by-side comparison of other online ARPGs in Tyler’s Not-So-Massively column.
