As Spring has sprung, so too has a new update for Bless Unleashed. In this new game’s first major update, players will find plenty of changes and new items, in addition to new dungeons and a new Blessing.

For those unfamiliar, Bless Unleashed is a free-to-play MMO developed by Round 8 Studios and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It was announced in 2018 and after a year of closed and open beta testing, released on March 12 for the Xbox One. Round 8 Studios is part of Neowiz, known for other games like the DJMAX series and the cancelled Mega Man Online.

The new Blessing is called the “Blind Executioner,” which is a 3% reduction in PvP damage received and can be purchased in Fragments from the Warrior’s Talent Shop and received as 3 Abyssal Dungeon Rewards. Keep in mind though that the fragments cannot be listed on the marketplace. The Blessing is said to be an, “embodiment of the memories of the brave defenders that fought against the Savantis during the first Nightspire incident.” The Blessing also contains 4 skills for each of the five classes.

The new Abyssal Dungeon is called “Dreamscale Ruins - Sundered Sanctuary,” and is available at level 36. The new regular Dungeon can be completed just before that at level 35 and is called “Savantis Mausoleum - Lich’s Respite.”

Among other things in the update, there is a new trial called “The Living Legend.” Players can look forward to increased rewards for defeating enemies in Regional and Crusade Quests, in addition to some fixes to the character creator. All of the classes have received balancing changes as well.

New items have been added, including A grade equipment like the Shield of an Old Hero. An Artifact Core box can now be bought from the Limited Time Merchant, which will set players back 100,000 Gold. There are also several new mounts, like the Grain Axe Beak, the Golden Hellbull (which sounds like the coolest thing ever), and an Azurecoat Reindeer. Hopefully these mounts will be easier to acquire than worsteds in Final Fantasy 14.

Additionally, the Spring Update includes a litany of new UI changes, bug fixes, and audio changes, which are all laid out in the full notes. It seems that Round 8 and Bandai Namco have really made great progress since its less than stellar closed beta for the game.

To celebrate their first major update (and a very large one at that) Round 8 Studios is giving away extra in game content May 1 through the 8, including double drop rates on chest drops and Dungeon Mounts. Players who log in each day during that time frame will receive a box of goodies, including a 3-hour combat XP booster.

MMO fans may be relieved to know that they will be able to spend more time with Bless Unleashed before the next big MMO releases, since Amazon had to delay its MMO, New World.
