Them's Fightin' Herds is an indie fighting game that shocked the scene. What started as a My Little Pony fangame has evolved into a beautifully animated and highly competitive release. And developer Mane6 has now hit the game's biggest milestone yet, launching Them's Fightin' Herds 1.0 release and leaving Early Access.

The 1.0 release of Them's Fightin' Herds comes with a major addition. Story Mode: Chapter 1 is now available to all Them's Fightin' Herds players. The first chapter of the story focused on the character Arizona, the cattlekind rushdown fighter. Them's Fightin' Herds' story mode isn't just some Street Fighter-esque arcade mode, though. It mixes RPG and adventure game mechanics in with the fights, making for something uniquely special.

Outside of the new story mode addition, a few smaller things have also been changed or added in Them's Fightin' Herds. A new Versus CPU mode is available so players can train with an AI, an idle animation while crouching is available for all characters, AI has been improved overall, and a ton of bug fixes and balance changes have gone through. It's a fresh coat of polish on an already great game.

One final detail was confirmed by Mane6 as part of Them's Fightin' Herds' 1.0 update. Casual ranks are planned to be reset some time soon in the relatively near future. Look out for another patch, which may reset players' ranks. Otherwise, fans should enjoy the full release of this special and inspired fighting game.

Them's Fightin' Herds is available now on PC.
