Come holiday 2020, Assassin's Creed Valhalla fans will be able to step in the shoes of an either male or female Eivor on their platform of choice, as AC: Valhalla has been confirmed for next-gen consoles. Of course, many who will pick it up for this gen or next-gen may be wondering if there are any associated bonuses.

Like most games nowadays, Assassin's Creed Valhalla has a couple of special editions. The Gold, Ultimate, and Collector's editions have thus far been announced, with it currently uncertain if more versions will be announced later. Some retailers like GameStop occasionally have its own exclusive editions, but either way, here's what fans can expect from the new special editions of the game.

First off, Assassin's Creed Valhalla will have a season pass, although its contents are not yet revealed. It'll likely be purchasable as a standalone item down the road, or players can pick up the Assassin's Creed Valhalla Gold Edition, which includes the base game and the season pass. The Assassin's Creed Valhalla Ultimate Edition includes both of these, as well as "The Ultimate Pack," which is a collection of customization content including the Berserker Gear Pack, the Berserker Settlement Pack, the Berserker Longship Pack, and a set of Runes.

Then, for the most diehard fans, there's the Collector's Edition. It comes with all of the aforementioned items, plus a replica of female Eivor and her longship, a special case, a steelbook, a certificate, a statuette of Eivor with raven and axe, lithographs, and soundtrack, only via the Ubisoft store. Currently, pre-orders only seem to be for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, although it is confirmed for PS5 and Xbox Series X as well. Prices are as follows:

  • Base game: $59.99
  • Gold Edition: $100 ($110 for physical)
  • Ultimate Edition: $120
  • Collector's Edition: $200

Finally, those who pre-order will receive an additional mission, The Way of the Berserker. Eivor joins a legendary Norse Berserker on a quest for revenge, but it doesn't specify who this warrior is. Perhaps the mysterious Ragnar Lothbrok will appear.
