Borderlands 3 players, meet the Yellowcake. This radioactive rocket launcher can one-shot powerful enemies and bosses, and players are loving it.

The new gun was introduced to Borderlands 3 via the new free event Revenge of the Cartels, which has been allowing players to gain exclusive, powerful new guns. The weapon with the most hype is easily the Yellowcake, which shoots splitting projectiles that can quickly obliterate even the most powerful of enemies.

The Yellowcake's power can be amped up even more if it's Anointed. One of these bonuses allows guns to inflict three times as much damage for enemies with most of their health, which can easily lead to OHKO's. Many players are displaying the gun's capabilities online, and even bosses are getting wrecked with this gun. The Yellowcake could even one day join the ranks of great legendary weapons in BL3 like the Anarchy and the Brainstormer.

And the Yellowcake isn't the only new legendary weapon Revenge of the Cartels has brought to the game. The Sand Hawk Legendary sniper rifle is an incredibly potent weapon that many players are getting to use. It looks like this BL3 event is upping some lucky players' games in a big way. The Yellowcake is obtainable via random drop from some of the event's bosses.

Revenge of the Cartels comes with another major free update, Mayhem Mode 2.0. However, the latter update has reportedly been causing major glitches and even crashing, which has frustrated a lot of Borderlands 3 players. It's difficult for players to enjoy such a great weapon when their games aren't even functioning all the time.

Although some players are facing technical issues, and others aren't loving Revenge of the Cartels' nostalgic '80s theme, there's no doubt that the new legendary guns are a big hit. Who wouldn't want to take out every boss and powerful opponent they see with one hit? Of course, Gearbox has shown a history of being quick to nerf strong weapons in BL3. It's likely that Yellowcake owners won't get to enjoy one-shotting their enemies forever. Until then, players can hunt for the gun from Cartel enemies' weapon drops and enjoy bulldozing their enemies for a bit.

Borderlands 3 is available now for Google Stadia, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
