Ghost Recon: Breakpoint is branching out and facilitating more friendly matches, particularly between players and friends that don't actually own the game themselves.

Ubisoft announced the new pass in a blog post detailing the perks of owning a Friend Pass. In the post, Ubisoft also revealed that the game will be getting a free trial, granting players access to six hours of Ghost Recon: Breakpoint playtime.

According to Ubisoft, the Friend Pass allows those who have purchased any edition of the game to invite up to three friends per session who don't own Breakpoint to join in co-op for free. It's available to everyone who owns the game on all platforms (PC, PS4, and Xbox One), and the promotion is currently set to run until June 16. Players who don't own Breakpoint will still need PS Plus or Xbox Live Gold in order to play with the host, as well as the trial version of the game.

All saves made in the newly released trial version will also carry over for those who end up purchasing the full Breakpoint game. In addition, the timer on the six-hour trial pauses when the Friends Pass is being used. While the Friend Pass is a temporary promotion lasting until June, the free trial for Breakpoint will always be available.

Now that most Breakpoint players are quarantined due to COVID-19, it seems like the perfect time to make use of that Friend Pass.

Ghost Recon: Breakpoint is available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
