During Thursday morning's Nintendo Direct Mini presentation, Nintendo discussed several major games including Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Pokemon Sword and Shield. One of the smaller games that didn't get as much attention but deserves to be recognized is Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics. The collection of international arcade and board games will launch on Nintendo Switch June 5.

The name Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics can be taken literally. Clubhouse Games features 51 full games for players to try out, with many featuring either local or online multiplayer. As noted, most of the games are with tabletop games like card games or board games, or they're interesting arcade games.

Games include gold standard board games like chess, checkers, Chinese checkers, and backgammon. In terms of card games, there's president, speed, blackjack, sevens, war, and even Texas Hold 'Em with up to four online players. Other tabletop games like mancala, go, and Japanese mahjong, fill out the selection. And then there's darts, bowling, tanks, and shooting gallery arcade games among others.

Where twenty to thirty years ago closets were full of boxes, games to pull out during a rainy day, now all that's necessary is a single game on Nintendo Switch. Clubhouse Games would be the perfect game for social distancing during these troubled times, but for now players will have to wait.

Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics comes to Nintendo Switch on June 5.
