Several days ago, a handful of games from the Assassin's Creed franchise were given price reductions for the PC. Now, Assassin's Creed fans on the PlayStation 4 will be happy to know that the latest installment in the long-running series, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, is currently on sale for the PlayStation 4 as part of the store's weekly deals.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey was released back in October of 2018 serving as the 11th major installment in the Assassin's Creed franchise. The game revolves around a fictional history that took place during the Peloponnesian War and is set in 431 BC, which is four hundred years before the events of Assassin's Creed Origins.

As for what is next for the Assassin's Creed franchise, there are unconfirmed rumors circulating online about a game called Assassin's Creed Ragnarok. Rumors about this upcoming game have been prevalent online ever since the release of Assassin's Creed Odyssey, but only for nothing to materialize. Although Odyssey was released to mostly positive reviews, many longtime fans of the franchise are hoping for a game that would finally return the series back to its roots, given that recent entries were not as well-received as the older ones.

As of the moment, Ubisoft has been tight-lipped on details surrounding the reveal of the rumored Assassin's Creed game. Previously, many predicted that the announcement will take place in the early months of 2020. However, with massive delays due to the worldwide quarantine caused by the growing threat of COVID-19, it is likely that Ubisoft will delay the game's official announcement to the middle if not the end of the year if rumors about Assassin's Creed Ragnarok are to be believed.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey is available now for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
