The Call of Duty Battle Royale is finally here, and it doesn't disappoint. It is, perhaps, the most open-ended and versatile Battle Royale to drop yet, and has released in a really polished and good state. There's plenty of great competition to be had out there in the Warzone, and it's (usually) going to take a pretty excellent performance to come out on top of the 150-player match.

Let's take a look at ten tips for winning the Warzone.

10 GET THE HIGH GROUND

As a wise man once said: "I have the high ground." It didn't end very well for the guy who tried to take it from him, and it isn't going to end very well for the enemies that try to take the high ground from you, either. The most important advice anyone can give you in this game is to get the high ground, because it applies for almost any scenario (and any circle). Having that vertical advantage makes it astronomically more difficult for enemies to deal with you in any successful way.

9 DUCK FOR COVER

That said, there are a few tools enemies may have at their disposal to get rid of that vertical advantage you may have, and quickly. Precision Airstrikes and Cluster Strikes are a couple of these tools that can make the high ground a dangerous commodity.

Luckily, you get an audio warning about the Precision Airstrike coming in and the Cluster Strike appears on your map, giving you a couple seconds warning to either take a leap of faith off the roof, or duck inside a nearby doorway and under the blissful cover of a roof.

8 GET TO THE CENTER OF THE EARLY CIRCLES

Because of how quickly the later circles move in Warzone, that advantageous position your team has grabbed may not be all that advantageous for long. If you're at the edge of the circle, you're likely going to have to make constant movements to keep up with the ever-shrinking zone, so it might benefit your team to grab a position near the center of one of the early circles, giving you the chance to stake out your place for the long haul.

7 HAVE A VARIETY OF CUSTOM LOADOUTS

Custom Loadouts can be brought into the Warzone via random map drops or by buying one of those Loadout Drops yourself. There's something to be said for having a weapon that you're super comfortable with, and the ability to set up ten different loadouts means you can have one good to go for just about any situation. Spend some time, build some different loadouts, and future-you is going to thank you for it.

6 BE READY FOR MULTI-TEAM ENGAGEMENTS

Since there are currently around 150 players in each match of Warzone in teams ranging between 1-3, there are a ton of different teams running around. Sure, the map is huge, but the chances of another team running to the gunfire they hear coming from your fight are pretty high. Don't spend all day sorting through the loot of your fallen foes; keep your head on a swivel, because chances are, you're about to have more company, and not the kind you invite over for dinner.

5 GET THAT BUCK

Few things are more important in Warzone than grabbing that cold hard cash. That money can be spent at shops around the map for a huge variety of things, and those things can (and usually will) be the difference between first place and everything else.

Sometimes, you aren't going to have enough money to get that shiny, beautiful thing you want, but since cash can be dropped the same as ammo, your team can divvy up the money between everybody to make sure everybody has a fair share. (Because that's how it should work, right?)

4 KEEP A SUPPLY OF ARMOR PLATES

The cheapest thing that you can buy at one of those shops is a collection of five armor plates, and don't let the cost fool you; it's one of the most valuable things in that shop. There's no quicker way to lose a gunfight than having less health than your opponent, and it's very easy to run out of armor plates to slap on after a couple of fights. Keep a stock on you, and it's going to make a huge difference.

3 KEEP A KILLSTREAK ON HAND

Another thing that's pretty handy to have around is a killstreak. (Crazy, huh?) Killstreaks much be purchased instead of earned in Warzone, and there are a few different ones available, ranging from UAV's to Precision Airstrikes to Cluster Bombs, with a couple others that are a bit less popular. Grab whichever one of these you prefer and keep it on hand for the opportune moment; they're definitely worth the price.

2 PRACTICE THOSE 1V1's

The Gulag is one of the most unique things about the Warzone; the first time you die each match (as long as it isn't super-deep in) you get dragged off to the Gulag to fight an enemy in a 1v1 with random weapons. Winning the fight gets you dropped back into the fray immediately, losing it locks you behind a $4500 paywall that your teammates will have to deal with in order to bring you back. That $4500 could be spent on something that gives your team a much better chance of getting out of the next fight alive, so winning that Gulag fight is going to go a long way in helping your team's economy and, ultimately, towards winning the match.

1 BE CREATIVE

As mentioned before, Warzone is one of the most open-ended Battle Royales out there. There are tons of insane things possible, it just takes someone thinking about it and having the patience to pull through with it. Sometimes the easiest route to victory isn't going to be winning a normal, everyday gunfights; start to think outside the box, and you're going to start having a lot more fun.
