While Nvidia's GeForce Now has unfortunately been met with a number of major setbacks recently in the form of developers pulling their games from the service, the newly released cloud gaming platform has a number of major titles already in the pipeline for release. Perhaps the biggest of these games is Cyberpunk 2077, which will supposedly launch on the service when it debuts later this year.

While fans weren't entirely aware of what this would mean for CD Projekt Red's newest RPG adventure, GeForce Now has officially revealed one big feature that the cloud gaming service will offer Cyberpunk 2077 players. This is none other than real-time ray tracing, which has quickly become one of the more striking and sought after visual technologies present in modern PC gaming.

Announced via Nvidia GeForce Now's Twitter page, the reveal comes with a handful of beautiful screenshots that showcase just how incredible the RPG will look with the accompaniment of ray tracing. The first picture shows off a futuristic muscle car, with rays of light coming from a window above the vehicle reflecting off its bonnet and a nearby puddle. The second photo shows a shockingly realistic shiny metallic bike glistening in the sunlight while the third depicts a character standing in front of a window with blinds, with a mixture of sunlight and shadow masking his face. If the game looks this superb on GeForce Now, fans will no doubt be incredibly enthusiastic about using the cloud gaming service when getting their hands on CD Projekt Red's newest title.

Cyberpunk 2077 is easily shaping up to be one of the biggest games of the year, with fans clamoring to finally experience the long-awaited sci-fi RPG. Despite the game's release date being pushed back from April all the way until September, it hasn't stopped many from toting it as the most must-watch game release this year alongside the likes of The Last of Us 2 and Ghosts of Tsushima.

It was even recently announced that Cyberpunk 2077 will be playable on the Xbox Series X, which is no doubt a big deal for early-adopters of the new console. With the visuals seeming to be the benchmark for what modern technology can currently provide, there's no denying that it'll be a strong title to showcase what Microsoft's newest flagship console can do. Although there's no word on whether a PlayStation 5 version of the game will be available, it's evident that CD Projekt Red's newest RPG could be one to watch beyond merely this console generation.

Cyberpunk 2077 releases September 17 on GeForce Now, PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with an Xbox Series X version also in development.
