One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows has arrived and the game has all of the explosiveness, uniqueness, and over the top aspects as the anime. The game arrived on February 28, 2020, with a single-player campaign, but also with an online and local multiplayer experience.

The multiplayer mode for A Hero Nobody Knows can not be played initially and must be unlocked. But fear not, as the multiplayer mode is jus a few punches away.

How to Unlock the Multiplayer Mode in One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows

As previously mentioned, multiplayer is not immediately available to players. To unlock the multiplayer mode for One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows, fighters must play and progress through the story mode. Specifically, Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 must be completed in their entirety. The reviews for One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows have been fair, but for the players who are looking to only play multiplayer, the repetitive nature of the missions may be a bit of a drag.

Once Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 are complete, players will be able to take the bus to the Association HQ, where they can meet up with a receptionist. This receptionist will unlock the multiplayer mode for the game. Here players can start to enjoy the rather large cast of characters in A Hero Nobody Knows.

One Punch Man burst onto the anime scene in 2015 for its goofy hook, with its protagonist, Saitama, having the ability to take down his enemies with one single punch. Sometimes this takedown is in soft and comical fashion, and other times it comes in epic awe-inspiring anime glory. The game attempts to pull from this as well, as seen in the opening cinematic of A Hero Nobody Knows

Time will tell if One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows has the same hook and appeal as the anime. It does seem that the game does a fine job of pulling from its source material with a combination of humor and high octane action. The story mode may not have long legs, as it could be a one and done experience, but it is enjoyable enough. Meanwhile, the multiplayer mode with an expansive cast of characters has the potential to bring smiles to fans of the anime.

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
