Fans have been eager to hear more information on the upcoming Destiny 2 season, which has continued to be shrouded in mystery. Bungie has continued to tease out small snippets of information, such as sandbox changes as well as the return of Trials of Osiris but not much else has been shared. All of that changed earlier today however as a new trailer finally gave fans what they wanted and revealed plenty of new information on the Season of the Worthy and how it continues the story.

As expected, Rasputin is going to be playing a major role within the PvE portions of Destiny 2's tenth season. Season of Dawn's Sundial activity proved to be a success in stopping the Red Legion from taking control of time to undo the events of the Red War. However, one of the Psion Flayers managed to escape and reactivated the Cabal ship known as the Almighty to set it on a collision course with the Last City. With the city threatened, Zavala and Ana Bray set out to save the city from annihilation.

One way to do that is to call upon Rasputin and prepare its defenses. Season of the Worthy introduces Seraph Towers, a new shared public event activities. Unfortunately, not much else was shared about these activities, but the trailer does show guardians obtaining some sort of core or energy and tossing it into some sort of field similar to the Forges in the Black Armory update.

In addition, players will also be working to reestablish communication with the Warmind by taking part in Rasputin Challenges. New Bunkers will be appearing during Season 10 inside of the EDZ, Moon, and Io. These are going to be Legendary Lost Sectors, likely filled with new legendary weapons and armor to obtain as well as how to complete new bounties as well.

Naturally, the new season also has new exotics to find and while Bungie isn't spoiling anything with the Season 10 content calendar this time like it did previously with Bastion, the studio did show off one that all players can grab. Tommy's Matchbook is the Season 10 Battle Pass exotic, an assault rifle that may have solar elemental damage based on the description. The trailer also briefly flashes a couple more including an LMG as well as the return of the Fourth Horseman shotgun.

Destiny 2 is out now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One. Season of the Worthy begins for all players on March 10.
