Over the course of the past two weeks, Destiny 2 players has been working together to rebuild the Empyrean Foundation in the game's latest large-scale community event. At the center of this event is collecting Polarized Fractaline, and players can obtain this seasonal resource in large quantities by increasing the Resonance Power of their Tower Obelisk. While many fans have been working diligently to do exactly that, one player has taken things to the next level, recently reaching maximum individual Resonance Power.

On February 12, Twitter user 3jlowes posted with indication that their Tower Obelisk had finally reached 709,900 individual Resonance Power in Destiny 2's Empyrean Foundation event. While technically a player could increase Resonance Power even further, at this level the Tower Obelisk generates enough Polarized Fractaline to completely fill all 71 of a fan's available postmaster and inventory slots, making it the effective maximum.

For the uninitiated, Destiny 2 players can raise Resonance Power by upgrading the Obelisks found on the EDZ, Mars, Nessus, and the Tangled Shore. One way to do this is to feed the Obelisks with Light-Fused Fractaline, which can be purchased with Glimmer and Legendary Shards, and donating a single Light-Fused Fractaline will upgrade an Obelisk by one level. This will increase a player's individual Resonance Power by 100, which in turn prompts the Tower Obelisk to provide 100 additional Polarized Fractaline.

With this established, it is quite clear that reaching 709,900 Resonance Power in Destiny 2 is a colossal feat indeed, and doing so in a week's time makes it all the more impressive. Now, 3jlowes will need to figure out how to efficiently donate all of the Polarized Fractaline his Tower Obelisk is generating, and it is estimated that it would take around six hours of donating to clear all of the seasonal resource from 3jlowes' inventory.

That said, even with a single player having access to such a staggering amount of Polarized Fractaline, rebuilding the Empyrean Foundation is still very much a community effort. Indeed, when the event reaches its conclusion players will have donated more than 10 billion Polarized Fractaline, and while 3jlowe can certainly make a dent in that, it is far more than any single Destiny 2 Guardian can handle alone.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
