Don’t get me wrong, Blade & Soul players here in the west are getting some nice stuff with the next update, but the Korean edition of the game is getting some potentially envy-inducing things. Case in point: a new server type that’s part of its Unreal Engine 4 upgrade that apparently makes some intriguing adjustments to the game beyond the visual.

According to reporting from MMO Culture, this new “Frontier World” server type will bring with it a revamp of overall character growth and the game’s battle system, promising “different systems” from the existing Live World base servers and a new combat system, though the video footage embedded in the report doesn’t really provide many context clues on what’s changed.

Blade & Soul Korea is also continuing to tease its third spec for the Force Master class, which readers will recall was part of its initial UE4 upgrade reveal. The spec’s name is roughly translated to “Sky Seer” and focuses on large amounts of AoE damage at a distance. Just in case you missed that initial tease, it’s been embedded below.
