New World resumes closed alpha testing with NDA, teases new dev vlog

We’re expecting another big day for Amazon’s New World today.

First, the MMO has gone back into private player testing after many months dormant. “We have resumed Closed Alpha testing,” AGS announced last night. “We will be inviting old and new players in waves during Alpha and Beta.” Signups are still open on the official site; just be warned that there is an NDA in place – at least until closed beta. And just being in the old alpha – the one that was suspended last year for the big PvP/PvE revamp – “does not guarantee you access to the new one,” though apparently you don’t actually need to reapply. Preordering won’t improve your chances either.

Later today – we’re guessing late this afternoon, if the last one was any guide – the team will be dropping the next installment of its dev vlogs, this one on the factions in the game world. A brief teaser video was posted last night.
