The next generation of console gaming is right around the corner and although many launch titles won't be fully revealed until E3 this summer, Outriders is breaking ahead of the pack with some early hype. The upcoming magic-fueled action shooter isn't launching until holiday 2020, but the first extended look at gameplay is happening today.
Outriders was originally teased at E3 2019, but there wasn't very much to go on at the time. This week that all changed with the reveal of a cinematic trailer that offered some more details about the game's setting and characters. Now that Square Enix fans are properly hyped to enter this new world, the Outriders cinematic trailer is being followed up by a livestream event that will offer future players "everything they need to know about Outriders."
The livestream event is scheduled for February 13, 2020 at at 12pm PT / 8pm GMT / 9pm CET / 3pm ET. This means that fans only have to wait another handful of hours before they get a closer look at Outriders. When the time does arrive, viewers have a handful of options when it comes to where they need to watch the stream...
All of the usual platforms will be options and fans can decide between Twitch, Youtube, Mixer, Facebook, or Twitter for the big event. The length of the livestream hasn't been confirmed yet, so it will be interesting to see exactly how much information is going to be dropped today. There will likely be some kind of developer interview session, but hopefully a fair amount of time is dedicated to actual gameplay, as well.
Although the title is being promoted as a PS5 and Xbox Series X launch title, that doesn't mean current-gen console owners are going to be left out. The game is going to launch on PC, PS4, and Xbox One as well, so there's no need to buy a brand new console just to play Outriders. That said, we're very excited to see how the game runs on those machines later this year...
