For the next week, Destiny 2 will be transformed into a Valentine-themed heart fest called Crimson Days. Once the Destiny 2 servers are back up from emergency maintenance, the event runs from February 11th to the 18th to celebrate the holiday with confectioneries, epics, and other rewards. In order to get all the rewards, players will have to collect candies called "Confectionery Hearts" to exchange for loot.

Rewards for the Event

Players should log in once the servers are back up to start up the Crimson Days events, as well as grab their free Destiny 2 Twitch Prime Loot for the month if they haven't. Players should visit Tess Everis in the Tower to get their first Engram for the event; it gives a free cosmetic just for logging in and chatting with Tess.

The Crimson Days Rewards and Hearts Explanation

How to Earn Hearts for Rewards

So how can players get those Destiny 2 Confectionery Hearts and snag those rewards? For the most part, they'll have to go through Shaxx to get them, either with PvP or PvE matches in the Crucible. Players will earn:

  • Seven Hearts for every Crimson Doubles (PvP) match win.
  • Five Hearts for every Crimson Doubles (PvP) match loss.
  • 15 Hearts for every Shaxx Crucible Bounty completed
  • 75 Hearts for every Shaxx Crucible Weekly Bounty completed.

Players can also utilize leftover Hearts from last year's Crimson Days.

Players will also earn Dust by completing these challenges, so it will also help to get some of those premium items that can't be purchased with Hearts. While it's not the best way to farm Dust for the premium items, players will most likely want to do these challenges anyway for the Hearts.

Destiny 2 is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
