Another game-altering bug has been discovered in Destiny 2. This glitch allows players to infinitely use the Dawnblade ability, and it's quite easy to pull off.

Dawnblade is a solar-based subclass for the Warlock build in Destiny 2. The super ability allows Guardians to slash a firey-like beam through the air towards enemies. For all super abilities in Destiny 2, players must build up a charge over time and by taking down enemies.

Destiny 2 has been known for its bugs and glitches. Games of service style games, with frequent updates and changes, can often have issues that fall through the cracks.

In the case of this new glitch, the Dawnblade ability can be used infinitely once the super has been charged up once. To do the glitch, all that needs to be done is:

  • Activate Dawnblade
  • Quickly swap primary weapons
  • Use the Super ability repeatedly (don't stop using it)

Fans are wondering how Bungie will tackle this specific glitch. The Dawnblade ability is a core aspect of the Warlock class and it would make little sense for Bungie to disable this class while it works on a hotfix. If that were the case, however, fans would need to find a new favorite subclass in the interim. Turning off pieces of content while working on the fix is standard. But when the element that needs fixing is one of the three classes in the game, it certainly makes things more confusing.

Meanwhile, savvy players may want to combine the unlimited Dawnblade bug while it lasts with other ongoing glitches like the Empyrean Foundation XP Glitch, which allows players to progress through the season pass at lightning speed.

Unfortunately for Bungie, the long list of glitches continue for Destiny 2. It's becoming reminiscent of the old "days without an accident sign" joke from The Simpsons. For example, an immunity glitch was discovered for raids only a few weeks ago that allowed Guardians to solo their way through raids, traditionally something that is almost impossible to accomplish with a whole team, let alone by one's self.

Destiny 2 is available on the PS4, PC, Xbox One, and Stadia.
