The Outer Worlds to launch on Switch in March

The Outer Worlds

Obsidian Entertainment and Private Division have great news for Nintendo Switch players: The Outer Worlds will be launching on the portable console on March 6th! The game is generally considered one of the best games of 2019 and sits at a comfortable 82% for PC on Metacritic (86% on PS4, 85% on XB1). The Switch launch is great for players with a particular bent towards open-world RPGs that can be toted along for on-the-spot gaming.

Our own Garrick Raley awarded the game on PC a sweet 9.0/10. Here’s what he had to say: “I think anybody that enjoyed playing the Fallout games, as well as anyone that has enjoyed the Mass Effect titles, would unequivocally enjoy their time playing The Outer Worlds. I had so much fun exploring every nook and cranny, scouring out-of-the-way locations for loot, taking everything that wasn’t nailed down, and immersing myself in the otherworldy locations around Halcyon.”

About The Outer Worlds

Lost in transit while on a colonist ship bound for the furthest edge of the galaxy, you awake decades later only to find yourself in the midst of a deep conspiracy threatening to destroy the Halcyon colony. As you explore the furthest reaches of space and encounter various factions, all vying for power, the character you decide to become will determine how this player-driven story unfolds. In the corporate equation for the colony, you are the unplanned variable.
