There are plenty of great action games with lots of new updates, from Fortnite with its new competitive skin to Mortal Kombat 11 and its new DC Elseworlds skin pack, but sometimes a gamer wants to relax with something simpler and less violent. Thankfully, games like Farming Simulator 19 exist and are surprisingly popular with simulator and tractor fans alike.

Gamers who are interested in simulating the rewarding hard work of an everyday farmer can now experience it for free as the Epic Games Store is now offering Farming Simulator 19 as part of its extended free game promotion. Farming fans will have until February 6th to grab a free copy, at which point it will be replaced by a few other indie titles.

Farming Simulator 19 is the latest in the long-running Farming Simulator series developed by Giants Software. This latest entry brought several improvements, including a redesigned graphics engine and the addition of horse farming and oat and cotton crops. And after much demand from fans, this is also the first entry in the series to include licensed John Deere machines. Epic Games Store is giving away the standard edition of the game, which claims to be "the most complete farming experience ever!"

With two huge American and European environments to farm on, that certainly seems to be the case. Farming Simulator 19 is a very good looking game and features tons of farming-based activities for players to spend their time on. In fact, there was even an eSports league launched last year for the game centered around competitive hay bale stacking. Clearly, the Farming Simulator series has a very dedicated fanbase.

Epic Games is extending it's free games give aways through 2020

For gamers who don't dream of stacking hay bales competitively, they may want to keep shopping at the Epic Games Store (even if reports say the digital retailer is hurting PC game sales). On February 6th, the new free games that will become available until the 13th are Carcassonne, Ticket to Ride, and Pandemic. Carcassonne is a turn-based strategy game based on the board game of the same name, originally released for the Xbox 360 back in 2007. Ticket to Ride is another turn-based strategy game based on Alan R. Moon's board game of the same name, in which players pick what kind of cargo their train will carry and the destinations they're trying to reach.

The third strategy game Epic Games Store will be offering for free, Pandemic, is the Dark Realm Studios game that simulates destroying the world with very your own customized disease. The game starts players off on a random starting location and players try to upgrade their bioweapon until it infects and kills all of humanity. Epic Games made an interesting choice to offer this game for free, especially given the current Coronavirus outbreak in China.

Farming Simulator 19 is free at the Epic Games Store until February 6th, at which point Epic Games will start offering Carcassonne, Ticket to Ride, and Pandemic for its next giveaway.
