Much as in the Grand Theft Auto series, Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption 2 allows players to wreak lots of havoc including with a series of wild mods. Most recently, one player wrought havoc by shooting the sheriffs in Red Dead Redemption 2 and capturing each with a screenshot.

Red Dead Redemption 2 player Alex Tanaka morbidly captured a variety of pictures of sheriff homicide by using a meticulous method. He would capture the sheriffs in their respective towns, take them to a scenic location, and proceed to shoot them dead with a handgun. He also took a disturbingly beautiful screenshot in the process.

Below are a series of the aforementioned screenshots.

Red Dead 2 - Arthur kills Sheriff Malloy

Above, Arthur is seen murdering Sheriff Malloy of Valentine in cold blood on a hillside. It is taken with mostly cloud coverage with a Godray in the background.

Red Dead 2 - Arthur kills Sheriff Jones

In the photo above, Arthur Morgan can be seen shooting assassinating Sheriff Jones of Annesburg on a bridge over a river. A roaring waterfall is behind Arthur in the background.

Red Dead 2 - Arthur kills Lambert

On a dusty road, in the screenshot above, Arthur is shooting Chief of Police Lambert of Saint Denis. A deep blue sky rests above.

Red Dead 2 - Arthur kills Sam Freeman

In this picture, Arthur blasts Tumbleweed's sheriff, Sam Freeman, in the face. He does so on a cliffside with a river in the background separating Red Dead Redemption 2's large landmasses.

There are other pictures that Tanaka took, as well. These include the killings of Blackwater Police Chief Dunbar, Strawberry Sheriff Farley, and Sam Freeman for a second screenshot.

While disturbing, the photos are also somehow tranquil considering the peacefulness of the backgrounds. The screenshots are touched-up to make them more appealing against the homicidal nature of the pictures but don't rid them of their violent display entirely.

Ultimately, many Red Dead Redemption 2 players are capable of much more chaos than this. In what is considered one of the most addictive games, players can take on entire towns and villages in what could be massive battles. Otherwise, players can deal very destructive–and decapitating–damage with the game's variety of shotguns.

Moreover, Red Dead Redemption 2 is worth creating a lot of chaos in, according to aggregated review scores. According to MetacriticRed Dead Redemption 2 is considered the best video game prequel of all-time, so perhaps it is worth investing as Alex Tanaka has into it.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is currently available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
