It may feel like years have passed since the initial launch of Kingdom Hearts 3 all the way back in January 2019, but the game is in the midst of a renaissance now that the big ReMIND DLC content has arrived. Players who purchase the DLC gain access to new adventures, new powerful Keyblades, and perhaps most exciting of all, new playable characters.
Kingdom Hearts 3 keeps the focus on Sora and his immediate company through most of the game's chapters, but it's not unusual for a Kingdom Hearts title to jump around between characters a bit and introduce some other playstyles. ReMIND definitely embraces that history and adds to the list of playable characters in the Disney/Square Enix collaborative adventure.
The list of playable characters isn't incredibly long, but does include some interesting variety and players should get a kick out of tackling different chapters as different powerful heroes. Details about each character and exactly when they'll appear in the Kingdom Hearts 3 Re: Mind DLC are listed below, so fans who prefer to avoid spoilers on their first play through should definitely stop reading at this point.
Sora
First off, Sora is obviously back. The hero of Kingdom Hearts 3 hasn't retired yet and is playable in various chapters throughout the ReMIND DLC. Like in the core game, Sora also is joined by a variety of supporting allies throughout this content.

Kairi
Kairi is an original Kingdom Hearts franchise character who has appeared in many titles throughout the series. She's back once again and players will be able to take control of the princess and wield her power during the Scala Ad Caelum chapter. During her appearance, KH protagonist Sora remains as an ally to Princess of Heart. She is equipped with Destiny's Embrace and has access to Blitz and Seven Wishes.

Riku
Riku is no stranger to fans of Kingdom Hearts and the Keyblade master is back once again in ReMIND. This time around Riku shows up in two chapters: Realm of Darkness and Keyblade Graveyard. During his appearances Sora and Mickey pop up as allies. Riku is equipped with Braveheart for this adventure.

Aqua
During Land of Departure and Keyblade Graveyard, Aqua is a playable character. Expect Ventus and Sora to appear as allies in support of this Keyblade Master. Aqua appeared briefly in Kingdom Hearts 3 proper and is back for the DLC and equipped with Rainfell and the Spell Weaver command.
Aqua was one of the main protagonists of Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep and has appeared in a lengthly list of the spin-off titles over the years since her first appearance.

Roxas
Fans of Roxas may be sad to hear that the character is only playable during the Keyblade Graveyard. Roxas is available during the Graveyard chapter and equipped with Oblivion & Oathkeeper in addition to Xion and Axel as allies.

For now, those are all of the additional playable characters who have shown up in the Kingdom Hearts 3 ReMIND DLC. If the content performs well, perhaps there will be more on the way and players can continue to play around in this massive and outrageous sandbox of drama and adventure.
In addition to the additional playable characters, there is a lot of other new content for players to explore in the DLC. The purchase adds a new scenario that takes place after the main game's conclusion, the return of some Final Fantasy characters, new bosses, and a photo mode that offers players the chance to take their favorite characters to specific locations and setup photo shoots. The new content also contains multiple endings (both a good and a bad ending, of course), so some players may want to take the time to play through the content multiple times in order to see how things turn out in each scenario.
