A new event has just begun for Borderlands 3 giving fans another reason to get back into the game. Yet it's only been a day and players will be getting even better news. As of now, Gearbox Software will further tweak the drop rates for several normally rare enemies in-game.

With the name Farming Frenzy, players will greatly benefit by grinding things out during this period. After starting yesterday on January 16, the event will run until January 30. During the next two weeks, certain foes and spawns are guaranteed to appear in-game. Additionally, enemies with dedicated loot like bosses have a much higher chance of dropping legendary and anointed gear. But as soon as the event went live, players realized that some particular bosses were holding onto their drops like normal. Within a day, however, Gearbox has swiftly responded to the issue.

On Twitter, Gearbox announced a hotfix has gone out to address the problem with those greedy enemies. The list of bosses includes Borman Nates, El Dragon Jr., One Punch, Anointed Alpha, The Unstoppable, Urist Enforcer, Road Dog, Tarantella, Maxitrillion, and Rakkman. All of these foes can be found in the Borderlands 3 main story, the Circle of Slaughter, the Proving Grounds, or the Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite. With the latest update, their drop rates for rare items should finally match what was advertised in the Farming Frenzy event.

After the change, many players will be happy to get back to farming certain bosses. However, Gearbox also said that they are still monitoring player feedback on drop rates and the event overall. If necessary, the development team is willing to deploy another hotfix over the current one, which did in fact replace a previous update for some enemies on the first day.

From the initial response to monitoring adjustments, it seems Gearbox is continuing to give Borderlands 3 players their money's worth. Compared to the other post-launch content, Farming Frenzy is the best opportunity in a few months to get legendary gear, anointed perks, and other rare loot for a fraction of the time invested.

In the end, everyone will have until 9:00 am on January 30 to take advantage of the various farming opportunities. But players who aren't available during this period shouldn't worry because plenty more content will be coming soon with the Spring 2020 Roadmap announcement.

Borderlands 3 is out now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
