In a statement by Yoshinori Kitase, the producer of Final Fantasy VII REMAKE, he cites a need to give the release "extra weeks to apply final polish to the game," the team has delayed the game over a month from is initial release date of March 3rd.
Hopefully this is the only real delay as fans have been clamoring for this game since first revealed at E3 2015. Some fans have been pining for this even longer, ever since the infamous PS3 tech demo showed off what Cloud and gang could potentially look like if remade for a next gen console. Part 1 of Final Fantasy VII REMAKE will release on PlayStation 4, with no other platforms officially announced at this time.
