Another week means more Overtime Challenges for Fortnite players. This time, completing enough challenges will award players with the purple version of the Remedy vs Toxin outfit, in addition to other styles which can be earned.

As a part of the Chapter 2 Season 1 Battle Pass, the Remedy vs Toxin outfit is rewarded by reaching Level 40. After the base cosmetic is unlocked, players can acquire different styles to change the coloration and design of the costume. The toxin styles were already available to earn in-game, but the final purple style can now be acquired through completing enough of the Remedy vs Toxin tasks, which seem to be the start of one final set before the season ends on February 15, 2020.

Unlocking the Purple Style

In order to earn the purple style for the Remedy vs Toxin outfit, players will need complete nine out of the twelve challenges available. These missions require mostly using certain weapons and visiting different locations on the map. Successfully completing the tasks will also award two other purple styles for the Medaxe Pickaxe and Antidote Back Bling along the way.

Additionally, each completed challenge will award 52,000 XP to aid players in ranking up their Battle Pass, unlocking even more tiers and cosmetic rewards before February and the end of the season. Note that players must have completed Stage 1 by reaching Level 40 on their Battle Pass to unlock the rest of challenges and not all of them will be available immediately.

  • Stage 1 of 2: Reach Battle Pass Tier 40 (40)
  • Stage 2 of 2: Complete 'Remedy vs Toxin' Mission Objectives (9)
  • Visit different food trucks (3)
  • Earn Silver Survivor Medals (3)
  • SMG Eliminations (3)
  • Search chests at landmarks (7)
  • Reach 100 of both Health and Shield in different matches (3)
  • Deal damage with a Common, Uncommon, and Rare weapon in a single match (3)
  • Deal damage to enemy structures (2,500)
  • Visit different bus stops in a single match (3)
  • Achieve Weapons Specialist Accolades by dealing damage with weapons (5)
  • Be the first to catch a fish, first to land from the Battle Bus, or first to get an elimination (1)

As players can see, the challenges require a mix of PvP and PvE content. However, playing through several Fortnite matches normally should be enough to satisfy the requirements.

Unlocking the Toxin Style

Alternatively, earning the Toxin and Toxin (mask) style is a much simpler task for players that haven't done so yet. Unlocking this style requires healing a teammate with the Bandage Bazooka while wearing the Remedy outfit after reaching Level 40 and completing 5 prior missions.

Fortnite is available now on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and mobile devices.
