In a rather unfortunate turn of philanthropic events, the World of Warcraft server blades that were being sold to support Pencils of Promise have landed at several buyers’ doorsteps with a thud, as a rather lengthy server thread sees many players reporting their items arriving damaged.

As first reported by MMO Fallout, a variety of issues are being reported, including scuffed cases, snapped stands, and pieces of the server blade hardware floating around inside the cases. Furthermore, there’s been little insight into what sort of restitution will be offered even after roughly a week, though one transcript of a support chat conversation confirms that there hasn’t been any agreed upon plan of action yet. For now, it would appear that the best course of action for those receiving broken blades is to fill out a return request.
