World of Warcraft patches in Visions of N’Zoth on January 14

Fine, whatever.

We knew it was coming after the new year, and now we have the date. The next major patch for World of Warcraft, Visions of N’Zoth, arrives on January 14th, 2020. That’s a little under a month away from today, for those of you with a less clear idea of dates. It’s also a week after the game’s 15th anniversary event finally comes to a close, which probably means that the week between January 7th and the 14th will be… quiet.

The patch contains the next raid in Ny’alotha, which culminates in a battle against N’Zoth and opens up a week after the patch date on January 21st in Normal and Heroic difficulties. (Raid Finder options are still staggered out much slower, with the whole raid not available until March 10th.) It also contains the Vulpera and Mechagnome allied races, new Old God invasions across Uldum and the Vale of Eternal Blossoms, tuning changes, and so forth. You’ll have to wait a little longer to play the update, but at least now you know how much longer.
