Battle royale mode drives into Forza Horizon 4

Battle royale mode drives into Forza Horizon 4

Racing game Forza Horizon 4 has received a new battle royale mode.

As revealed in a YouTube video (below), the new game mode enables up to 72 players to compete in head to head races - if you win then you knock your opponent out of the game.

Users are able to upgrade their vehicles through picking up drops - similar to how loot is collected in Fortnite and Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds.

As of January 2019, over seven million people have played Xbox Game Studios’ racing title.

Epic Games and PUBG Corp made the genre popular with their games. However, Epic has made a habit of suing people due to Fortnite.

Earlier this week, the American firm applied for a preemptive ruling on the “Pump It Up” dance. Prior to that, a Keywords Studios tester was sued for leaking confidential information in November and the month before that a tester for the battle royale was sued for Chapter 2 leaks.

Fortnite has maintained its popularity, it achieved a concurrent player peak of 8.3 million in 2018. In contrast, PUBG has lost 82 per cent of its monthly users since hitting its player peak in January 2018.
