Fortnite’s Chapter 2 has gone off without a hitch since its unforgettable black hole event that closed off Season 10. Since Season 11 began it’s no wonder that the game has continued going strong, and the game doesn’t show any signs of losing that momentum in the near future.
With the Season 11 challenges wrapping up in week nine, Fortnite has one final set of challenges for players to complete. One portion of this week’s series of challenges, called Chaos Rising Challenges, will task players with completing a series of four different motorboat time trials around the map. Luckily, players will only have to complete one of the four trials, but here's a look over each location.
How to Activate a Time Trial
As mentioned before, players are going to have to complete a time trial using the motorboats placed throughout the map, somewhat similar to the recent swimming trial. To activate the time trials, players will need to go to one of the places marked on the map provided with this guide and locate a motorboat.
Near the motorboat, players will see an icon with a floating clock with two oars on either side of it. Simply drive through the floating icon in the lake and the time trial will begin. Driving through the icon will generate a path that players will need to follow, along with a certain time that they will need to beat. Players who participated in the recent Fortnite fishing tourney should be familiar with the map’s watery locations.
Location #1 – North of Misty Meadows
The first location that players can find a motorboat time trial is in the small lake just above the Misty Meadows. Misty Meadows is on the south side of the map, and the docks to access the motorboats are directly north of it. Players simply need to locate that dock, find a motorboat and begin the time trial at that location.
Location #2 – West of Slurpy Swamp
The next location players can find a motorboat time trial is in the rivers of Slurpy Swamp. Slurpy Swamp is on the southwest side of the map, in the dark green region. Players can look for the red circle in the area located on the map provided in this guide to find where the time trial will be located.
Location #3 – North of Sweat Sands
The next location players can find one of the four motorboat time trials is north of the Sweaty Sands area of the map. Sweaty Sands is the sandy area just below the large crescent-shaped body of water. The time trial location that players will need to travel to is at the top-most tip of the crescent shape north of Sweaty Sands.
Location #4 – The Lake Near Frenzy Farm
The final location players can find a motorboat time trail is in the central lake of the map. The easiest way to find this time trial location is to first find Frenzy Farm, which will middle-northeast of the map with a light brown hue. Once players find Frenzy Farm, they’ll need to travel southwest towards the ring-shaped lake in the center of the map. There, they’ll find the final time trial location.
That’s every location that players can find a time trial location. Remember, to complete the challenge players only need to complete one of the four time trials that are scattered around the map. The motorboat trial is just one aspect of the Chaos Rising Challenges that are capping off Season 11.
