Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's campaign and multiplayer are both fairly polished experiences (balancing issues aside), but the Spec Ops co-op mode has been known to be quite buggy. Spec Ops has been giving Call of Duty: Modern Warfare fans trouble since launch, and the bugs have persisted, though this latest one may actually be something that fans won't get mad about when it happens to them.

A new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare glitch appears to reveal the game's full battle royale map. The glitch happens when players try to deploy into a Spec Ops co-op mission (in this case, The Banker, though it may happen in other Spec Ops missions as well). Instead of falling to the ground, they get stuck in the air, and from there they can see what appears to be the entire battle royale map. This bug appears to confirm the theory that Infinity Ward is putting together the battle royale map using the Spec Ops mission maps and other areas, though that has yet to really be officially confirmed at this time.

In fact, Infinity Ward has yet to acknowledge that the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare battle royale mode exists at all. Even so, the mode leaked months before the game's launch from regular Call of Duty leakers, and since then, dataminers have found evidence of it in Modern Warfare's files. Considering this, a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare battle royale mode seems like an inevitability, though fans will have to stay tuned to be sure.

Another running theory about the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare battle royale map is that it will feature some of the Ground War maps as well. Fans have noticed that certain Ground War maps are visible from others, which could just be a way for Infinity Ward to tie the locations together, but there are those who think that this is because the maps will eventually help to make up the battle royale experience.

Ultimately, until Infinity Ward or Activision share information about the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare battle royale mode, all fans can do is speculate. The mode is rumored to be coming to the game in early 2020, so hopefully more details will come sooner rather than later.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
