Elder Scrolls Online players raise over $200k during the Slay Dragons Save Cats charity campaign

Well done, playerbase of The Elder Scrolls Online. You slew dragons, you saved cats, and you had a hand, however small, in raising over $200k for two animal charities in North America and the EU. Give yourselves a round of applause.

The ultimate donation goal of this unique charity event that started in October has been met with two days left in the campaign. Readers will recall that Bethesda was going to donate $1 for every five dragons slain up to this total, which means that players have been busy. The $200k will be split between the Best Friends Animal Society and FOUR-PAWS International, which is on top of an extra $1,509.34 that was directly donated by players.

There’s still plenty to do, of course, with the Dawn of the Dragonguard still ongoing and the New Life Festival due on December 19th. There’s also still a sweepstakes to win a real-life dragon head mount prop, and you can still directly donate to the charities if you wish. All of the information is at the same event website. Just take a moment to marvel at the total amount you helped raised while you’re there. You deserve to feel good about it.
