Last month the MMO world suffered a blow as visionary game designer Brad McQuaid passed away. Today, the team behind his latest vision, Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen, have announced a new scholarship in his honor.

The team at Visionary Realms announced the scholarship via a post on their website. Working with Brad's family, the scholarship has been established at Laguna College of Art & Design.

To honor Brad’s memory, in conjunction with the McQuaid family, we are pleased to announce The Pantheon Video Game Art & Design Scholarship In Memory of Brad “Aradune” McQuaid at Laguna College of Art & Design.

The scholarship is open to any LCAD Game Art students "in good standing" according to the post. Students need only to submit a scholarship application to the LCAD committee in order to be considered for the award. For those who wish to donate to the scholarship fund, you can do so on the official LCAD website, simply make sure to select Brad McQuaid from the drop down in the "Tribute Gift" section.

Brad McQuaid was a legendary MMO designer, bringing to life worlds such as Everquest, Vanguard, and most recently Pantheon. The dev team mentioned in the post that design is going forward united and "even more resolved to complete the vision he set out to create."
