Satisfy Your Wunderling On Nintendo Switch and PC

Wunderling, a charming 2D platformer, is jumping onto the PC and Switch next year and it is bringing a charming tale of a video game goon to players.

Coming to the Nintendo console and PC platforms thanks to Retroid, this retro-styled 2D platformer takes a different point of view for its adventure. Featuring a low-level goon who suffered a heinous fate, Wunderling is a tale of optimism. The unfortunate henchperson is revived by its mater and given the power to jump. Opening up a whole new plane of movement, this minion heads out into the world with a mission.

While guarding the evil sorceress Kohlrabi’s prisoner, our game’s protagonist will run into all sorts of issues as they traverse the environment. While they may be able to move in the Y-axis, nobody said anything about turning around. Unable to stop or change direction at will, planning ahead becomes crucial to survival. Scrolling from end to end, the game navigates a range of diverse environments and puzzles, unlocking special abilities like “Boost” and “Wall Jump” to help overcome the puzzles that await.

While this platformer might sound a little like a runner, we know that runners have a home on the Nintendo platform and they can be pretty complex games.

“Being on a Nintendo platform is surreal – almost dream-like. We’re thrilled that our little indie game will get a shot at a huge audience through one of the world’s most beloved consoles. When designing Wunderling, we originally wanted to create an adventure game based around a single button and show that you can indeed make a traditional platformer with that premise.” said Niklas Istenes, Producer & Game Designer at Retroid.

Wunderling allows players to clear levels like a traditional platform game with just one hand and it will leap onto Steam and the Nintendo eShop sometime in 2020. To find out more, check out the official website for more details now.
