The Elder Scrolls Online base game will be free-to-play for a week starting November 6

Curious about the Clockwork City, Elsweyr, or Murkmire in The Elder Scrolls Online? Well, too bad, you’re not getting any of that for free. But you are getting the base game and all of its content for free along with Morrowind starting this Wednesday, November 6th, which is still a pretty good deal.

For those who are on the fence about ESO or who perhaps were waiting for the next free play event, your time is coming soon as the MMORPG will be available between November 6th and November 13th on PC/Mac, Xbox One, and PS4. New players can pick from the base game’s four classes (Nightblade, Templar, Dragonknight, and Sorcerer) and explore 23 zones, while players who already had an account for a previous free play event can pick up right where they left off. Free players will also get 500 free Crowns to use in the in-game store.

Those who are interested in getting started will want to head to the Free Play page once the event starts. A friendly bit of advice from me to you, though: Start in Morrowind. Seriously, it’s got a far superior starting area than the base game.
