The game was released last March and saw the return of protagonists Dante and Nero as playable characters. Just like previous installments in the franchise, Devil May Cry 5 allows players to fight off hordes of demons with a wide variety of attacks and weapons.

The Sinking City - $31.83 ($59.99) via Amazon. Players in the market for a good mystery game can look at Amazon's deal for The Sinking City. The game is an open-world detective title that blends Lovecraftian horror elements with investigative gameplay. The Sinking City offers a wide variety of content, and based on our own playthrough of the game, we estimate that players can beat the main story around 15-20 hours, and more for those who like spending time exploring the vast open-world and completing every side quest.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan - $20.09 ($29.99) via the Microsoft StoreAnother awesome horror game in this list is Supermassive Games' Man of Medan, which released last August. The game is an interactive drama survival horror game that revolves around a group of people trapped within a ghost ship. Prior to its release, developer Supermassive Games revealed that Man of Medan is the first of eight installments in The Dark Pictures Anthology series.

Metro Exodus - $29.99 ($59.99) via the Microsoft StoreAlthough Metro Exodus is not a horror title in the traditional sense, the game lets players explore a post-apocalyptic world set in the Russian wilderness. Prior to its release, the game was met with criticism after it was announced that Metro Exodus will be an Epic Games Store exclusive. Despite the backlash, it appears that the game still performed well in the market after Koch Media revealed that Metro Exodus' sales numbers were not hurt by Epic Games Store exclusivity.

World War Z - $19.99 ($39.99) via the Microsoft StorePlayers in the market for a good zombie shooter game can look into Microsoft's current deal for World War Z. The third-person co-op shooter game was released last April, and is loosely based on the book of the same name and shares a universe with the 2013 film adaptation. Most recently, World War Z introduced a new update that invites players to "kill it with fire."

Blair Witch - $19.12 ($29.99) via Green Man Gaming. This psychological survival-horror game was developed by Bloober Team and is based on the Blair Witch series of films. The game was released last August and centers around survival-horror mechanics and stealth gameplay, which is played from a first-person perspective. In an interview, game writer Barbara Kciuk revealed that Blair Witch's overall playtime varies from player to player. However, on average, players will take around 6 hours to beat the main campaign, which is pretty much the standard for these types of horror games.

Vampyr - $24.75 ($49.99) via Green Man Gaming. Another good game that players can sink their teeth into is Dontnod Entertainment's Vampyr. The game was released in June of last year and focuses on the story of protagonist Jonathan Reid, who is a doctor that is struggling with his new identity as a vampire. A couple of months after the game's release, Fox21 acquired the rights to the game and is planning to adapt Vampyr to the small screen.

Call of Cthulhu - $14.40 ($39.99) via Green Man Gaming. This survival horror RPG was developed by Cyanide and features a semi-open world environment that includes Lovecraftian and psychological horror elements in its story. The game is played through the eyes of Edward Pierce, a private investigator and war veteran suffering from bizarre nightmares.

Resident Evil: Origins Collection - $29.99 ($39.99) via GameStopSwitch players can now return to the games that started it all in Resident Evil: Origins Collection. The bundle features the remake of the original Resident Evil, which introduced series icons Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine, as they explore the horrors of the Spencer Mansion and unravel the ungodly works of the Umbrella Corporation. The collection also includes Resident Evil 0, which is the prequel of the first game and takes place the day before the events of Resident Evil. The Origins Collection was first announced back in 2015 for the PS4 and Xbox One and was released to the Switch earlier this year.

Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment - $4.99 ($9.99) via Nintendo eShopThis indie-platformer game features NES-inspired gameplay and lets players take control of Specter Knight, who is on a quest to build the Order of No Quarter. The game is currently discounted at the Nintendo eShop for 50% off.

Flipping Death - $18.81 ($29.99) via AmazonThis game revolves around protagonist Penny who finds herself filling in for Death himself. Her newfound calling gives her the ability to switch between the worlds of the living and the dead and allows players to solve numerous puzzles along the way.
