Borderlands 3 has been incredibly giving with Shift Codes since the game launched, with a couple being released every week. Sometimes, these are only available for a couple of hours, whereas others are available for anywhere from 12-24 hours. The latest Shift Code revealed by Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford is available now, on October 28, and won't expire until 10 am CT (8 am PT) on October 29. Here's the Shift Code: W9KBJ-95X9T-ZC3KW-BJTJT-5FF3T.

Fans of the franchise have likely claimed a key or two and already know the process, but for those who don't, there's two ways. Either via the Shift website, which can be found here, or in-game. Players simply need to navigate to the social Borderlands 3 menu, tab over to the Shift Code input page, do so, and then claim the Golden Key in their mailbox. It's that simple, and once that's done, players can use their Golden Key to open the Golden Chest found on Sanctuary III.

Sometimes, the Golden Chest can be incredibly giving too, so it's a decent way to score some loot. There are also other ways, such as the recent Mayhem event that saw increased Annointed drops. There's also the on-going Bloody Harvest event, which can reward players with a OP grenade mod called the Ghast Call, and dedicated drops will also be coming to Borderlands 3 soon.

Mayhem Mode level 4 is also coming soon and will feature its own assortment of loot drops for players to grind, meaning that those with high-end gear may find these keys becoming more and more lackluster. That said, it's hard to say no to loot and, of course, it can always be sold if it doesn't really suit the player.

After grabbing this key, Borderlands 3 players may want to keep an eye out for more news concerning the next DLC event, the Takedown at Maliwan's Backsite. More info about it is said to come soon, which may give players their first look at what a "Takedown" is, which has been confusingly described as "a raid, but not a raid."

Borderlands 3 is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a Stadia version currently in development.
