Ubisoft suing Rainbow Six Siege hackers

French publisher Ubisoft has filed a lawsuit against MizuSoft, a company alleged to be producing cheats for its online shooter Rainbow Six Siege.

As reported by Polygon, the suit was filed in California, with Ubisoft alleging the company of creating cheat programmes that gave users an advantage over their opponents. The French firm says that MizuSoft is in violation of its copyright and is encouraging players to be in breach of Rainbow Six Siege's terms of use and code of conduct.

Said cheats have apparently been downloaded "thousands of times" for thousands of dollars a pop. Ubisoft is seeking MizuSoft be shut down and that it receives $25,000 per violation.

This follows Epic suing a minor for selling and promoting Fortnite hacks.
