League of Legends developer Riot Games celebrated its 10th anniversary with several major announcements, confirming that it has multiple different games in development. These games include a League of Legends card game, a League of Legends fighting game, and a secretive project, which was hidden in the 10th anniversary teaser trailer, that looks a lot like an ARPG.

Legends of Runeterra is the official name for Riot's League of Legends-based card game, and it appears to be the title that is furthest along among those that Riot announced. Prospective players can pre-register for a chance to play as soon as it's available, and they will also unlock a free Moonstruck Poro. Legends of Runeterra is a turn-based card game like Hearthstone where players will earn cards as they play, or they can buy specific cards if they want them.

Much less is known about Riot's League of Legends-based fighting game, which has the codename Project L. That said, players can make some assumptions about the title based on two short gameplay clips included in Riot's 10th anniversary teaser trailer. The first clip, which lasts less than 3 seconds, shows a 2D fighting game in which League of Legends characters Darius and Ahri are fighting. A separate clip later in the video shows Jinx and Katarina fighting with a relatively standard UI.

Finally, there's what looks to be a top-down multiplayer action or arcade game, more akin to Magicka than Diablo. This is the game that Riot described the least of all in its announcements, only indicating that it'll allow players to explore Runeterra on their own. The gameplay shown featured three player characters, Blitzcrank, Ezreal, and Lux, running and jumping around a top-down environment while using several unique abilities to fight AI enemies. The game's codename is Project F.

Riot also made several other announcements during its 10th anniversary broadcast, such as confirming that both League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics are coming to consoles and mobile devices. Riot also announced Project A, a tactical, character-based shooter that seems to be a mix of  Counter-Strike and Overwatch. Of course, Riot also talked about many upcoming changes to League of Legends itself, and it does certainly seem that Riot Games has very big plans for 2020 and beyond.

League of Legends is available now on PC, and it is in development for consoles and mobile devices. Legends of Runeterra has no currently announced release date, but it is coming to PC, consoles, and mobile devices. Projects A, L, and F have no currently announced release windows or known supported platforms.
