Ashes of Creation Apocalypse Enters Early Access Today

Ashes of Creation's Apocalypse battle royale will be hitting Early Access today, giving players a chance to jump into the MMORPG's Battle Royale mode. This mode will be used by the developers to help generate feedback and test core features which can find their way into the full MMORPG experience once it launches.

Available to download on the Ashes of Creation website, as well as Steam, the Apocalypse mode will be live today starting at 12PM PDT/3PM EST. Players can hop into Solos, Duos or Squads and start wreaking havoc on each other as you start down the Adventure Path - Apocalypse's version of a Season Pass like you'll find in most BR games these days.

Adventure Path (or Legendary Path if you upgrade) can earn you cosmetic items as you level up the path. These items, as well as any cosmetic items purchased using EmbersAshes' in-game currency, are usable in the full fledged MMORPG once it becomes live, meaning the items you gather in Apocalypse don't just stay there when the full experience eventually hits digital shelves. The Adventure Path will be available until December 17th, with new challenges every week.

You can sign up for an Intrepid account now to gain access to Ashes of Apocalypse when it launches later today. It's free-to-play, so anyone interested can hop in for a few rounds and start slinging spells today

Full Disclosure: Ashes of Creation is represented by Team Critical Hit, a games PR company co-founded by former MMORPG Managing Editor, Bill Murphy.
