The caped crusader is celebrating his 80th anniversary and video game fans can help celebrate by logging into Fortnite for the big Batman crossover event. Although Marvel Comics were dominating the world of Fortnite with the Infinity War mode not so long ago, it seems like it's now DC's turn to drop some iconic items and skins into the game for a limited time.
The Fortnite Batman crossover event leaked just a few days ago, but now the event has been officially announced and is up and running. The Fortnite community has between now and October 6 to take advantage of all the special items and activities. For the Batman fans out there, there are some great skins inspired by both comics and film that you won't want to miss.
As if the Fortnite x Borderlands crossover wasn't exciting enough, now pieces of Gotham have arrived on the Fortnite island thanks to a convenient Rift Zone and the POI gives players the chance to feel like the hero of Gotham by collecting their own Batman cape and the power of Glider Redeploy. A few new toys will also be at the disposal of participants thanks to the addition of the Batman Grapnel Gun and Explosive Batarang.
The items are definitely exciting, but let's be honest, everyone really wants to know about the suit. The Caped Crusader Pack is available now through October 6 and gamers who purchase it gain access to other Batman-themed cosmetics, as well. The pack includes the Batman Comic Book Outfit and The Dark Knight Movie Outfit featured below. There are also some fantastic Catwoman items and a costume available in the store, as well.
There are some free rewards up for grabs as well if players complete the current heroic challenges by October 1. Completing these Challenges will earn you free rewards from the Welcome to Gotham City Challenge Bundle, including the Catwing Glider! That grind is likely worth the hours it will take just for the Catwing Glider, to be honest...
