World of Warcraft releases patch 8.2.5 on September 24th

Well, the betting pool for the patch day for World of Warcraft’s 8.2.5 has now closed, and people who had “next week” have won! Those people who picked “two weeks” have lost, and the guy who answered “July 43rd” has now definitely lost even more so than before. Yes, the next major patch arrives on September 24th, bringing with it the conclusion to the War Campaign which will no doubt include some datamined but encrypted cutcscenes from the test patch.

Those of you now pretty clocked out from the story, however, can enjoy updated Worgen and Goblin models, a new honeybee mount earned on the Alliance side of the story, and the new Party Sync feature allowing you to group up with your friends even for lower-level quests. And you don’t have that much longer to wait for the release; again, it’s all going live in less than half a week. A nice treat for the end of September, yes?
