New releases, led by Borderlands 3, shake up EMEAA charts

eFootball PES 2020 and Greedfall debut at No. 2 and 3, NHL 20 arrives at No. 5

Four brand new releases shook up the EMEAA region's game sales last week, pushing the usual suspects out of the top ten and giving others a chance to shine.

Borderlands 3 debuted at No.1 by unit sales last week, followed closely by fellow new releases eFootball Pro Evolution Soccer 2020 at No.2 and Greedfall at No.3. NHL 20 debuted at No.5, pushed out by NBA 2K20 now in its second week after topping the charts last week.

With so many new releases, the usual mainstays managed to cling to Top Ten-dom, with Grand Theft Auto V at No.7 this week and Red Dead Redemption 2 at No. 8. Gears 5 is also maintaining itself, sitting just above them at No. 6. Its numbers are likely diminished somewhat by the fact that it was released into Xbox Game Pass at launch, making its popularity difficult to discern.

Here's the Top 10 best-selling games by units (combined digital and physical) in EMEAA for the week ending September 15, 2019:
