Early Torchlight Frontiers testers might recall a previous version of the fame and contract system that experimented with a daily quest-and-reward format. Echtra Games took that out of the game a while back to retool it, but now with Update 9, it’s back and better than ever.

Basically, the assignment board dishes out simple quests designed to fill up one’s contract meter with fame. Once full, contracts pay out in fun rewards attributed to different levels. Some of the new prizes include a chicken coop, backpacks for your pet kitty, birds of prey, a campsite, and even the dino-like chakawary.

“Contracts are now a permanent component of the core Torchlight Frontiers experience,” the studio said. “Completing contracts is a prime method for adding to your fort decor collection, filling your bags with crafting materials for Relics and Enchantments, adding new pets to your menagerie, and more or less stuffing your pockets with the coolest lootz!”
