After the release of the Cataclysm event last month, Anthem is in a far better place than it's ever been before with new missions to play, enemies to fight, and loot to discover. With that said, BioWare's looter-shooter continues to struggle to find its feet after a disastrous launch, and it looks like EA is attempting to get Anthem in front of more people by adding the game to EA Access.

EA Access is a video game subscription service similar to Xbox Game Pass (or Netflix if you will) that gives subscribers access to a large library of EA published games, as well as early access to exclusive game trials, and discounts on digital purchases. EA Access has been available on PC and Xbox since 2014 but only came to PS4 in July of this year.

Anthem is available on EA Access right now across all three platforms and joins a number of high-quality EA games including Battlefield 5, FIFA 19, NHL 19, Madden 19Burnout Paradise Remastered, Star Wars Battlefront 2, and many more. EA Access is also commonly referred to as the EA Vault, with games typically being added long after they're considered as "new" titles, so it's surprising to see Anthem already available less than seven months after launch.

The base version of EA Access is available on PS4 and Xbox One for $4.99 per month or $29.99 for the annual subscription and gives subscribers access to the complete game. Members of the $14.99 PC-exclusive tier Origin Access Premiere will get access to the Legion of Dawn Edition of Anthem which adds exclusive armor sets, weapons, and the full soundtrack.

EA's decision to add Anthem to EA Access is a win-win situation for everyone involved. Anthem has repeatedly struggled to find its footing since it released back in February and this is a great way to get the game in front or more people. Particularly those that were already interested in the game but couldn't justify the price after critics panned the game in their reviews.

As mentioned earlier, Anthem has changed a lot since launch with a lot of new content being added to the game with the long-awaited and many times delayed, Cataclysm. If there's ever been a time for lapsed players or newcomers to jump into Anthem, it's now, especially when you can play the entire game for $4.99.

Anthem is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
